From September 20, 2020, Decree 112/2020/ND-CP on disciplining officials and public employees in Vietnam officially takes effect. According to this Decree, the regulations on disciplining officials have undergone several important changes.

Termination of employment is a disciplinary measure applied to public employees for particularly serious violations. However, in order to provide an opportunity to continue working and rectify mistakes, from September 20, 2020, public employees who were forced to resign are still allowed to take the official recruitment exam in Vietnam
