Referendum means an occasion held by the state for all the people in the country to vote on important issues. To ensure referendum activities are highly effective, the law has stipulated a number of specific duties and authority of People’s committees at all levels.
The purposes of communication and propaganda on referendum are to provide information about the issues proposed for referendum in an adequate manner to the people for understanding the meaning and subject matters of the referendum; rights and obligations of voters for participation in referendum; encourage voters to actively participate in voting. So, how are Vietnam’s regulations on communication and propaganda on referendum?
Through the media, I know that the Law on Referendum 2015 of Vietnam will come into force from July 01, 2016. So, which issue shall be subject to referendum? (Le Duc Thuan, Thanh Oai - Hanoi)
