Vietnam: 05 cases of ineligible referendum votes

The Law on Referendum approved by the 13th National Assembly of Vietnam at its 10th session on November 25, 2015 and officially put into effect from July 01, 2016.

According to the Law on Referendum 2015 of Vietnam, there are 05 cases in which referendum votes are considered ineligible:

- Not in compliance with the form as stipulated by the Team;

- Not affixed with the stamp by the Team;

- Marked with more than one option as prescribed;

- All options left vacant;

- Unasked information added;

If one vote is found as ineligible, the leader of the Team shall present it to all of its members for consideration and decision. The Team should not cross out or make corrections on the vote.
