This is the content currently being solicited for feedback in the Draft Decree amending regulations on recruitment, use, management of civil servants, public employees, and the implementation of contract policies for certain types of work in state administrative agencies, and public service providers.
Women are the 11th priority group for recruitment among the prioritized groups when taking competitive exams or official recruitment consideration. To be specific: the subjects prioritized for recruitment are listed in the following order:
- Hero of the Armed Forces, Hero of Labor;- War invalids;- People entitled to policies like war invalids;- Children of martyrs;- Children of war invalids;- Children of people entitled to policies like war invalids;- Ethnic minorities;- Members of the youth volunteers;- Members of young intellectual volunteers participating in rural and mountainous development for 24 months or more who have completed their tasks;- People who have completed military service;- Female candidates.
The prioritization of female officials for recruitment is a relatively new regulation that had not been previously stipulated or mentioned in Decree 24/2010/ND-CP and related drafts. According to the current regulation in Decree 29/2012/ND-CP, the prioritization of female labor recruitment only applies to public employees.
This regulation contributes to creating opportunities for women to participate in labor, apply for suitable job positions and titles, and especially improve the current discrimination in labor recruitment.
