Regarding this issue, LawNet would like to answer as follows:

1. Membership standards of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association

- Members of the Association include official members and honorary members:

+ Official members: Vietnamese citizens and organizations who meet the qualifications, agree with the Association's Charter, voluntarily join the Association, and become official members of the Association;

+ Honorary member: Vietnamese citizens and organizations who do not have the conditions or do not qualify to become official members of the Association, agree with the Association's Charter, voluntarily join the Association, and are recognized by the Association as honorary members.

- Official membership standards:

+ Individual members: doctors, dentists, pharmacists, engineers, technicians, nurses, and Vietnamese citizens with full civil capacity who have worked or are currently working in the field of dentistry according to the regulations of the Law;

+ Organization members: Vietnamese organizations with legal status established according to the provisions of law operating in the field of dentistry or related to the field of dentistry according to the provisions of law. Representatives for organizational members participating in the Association must be Vietnamese citizens.

2. Rights of members of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association

The rights of members of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association are specified in Article 9 of the Charter (amended) of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association issued with Decision 404/QD-BNV in 2023, including:

- Have legal rights and interests protected by the Association according to the provisions of law.

- Be provided with information related to the Association's field of activities and participate in activities organized by the Association.

- Participate in discussions and decisions on the Association's working policies according to the Association's regulations; make recommendations and propose opinions to competent authorities on issues related to the Association's field of operation.

- Attend the Congress, stand for election, nominate and elect agencies, leadership positions, and the Association's Inspection Committee according to the Association's regulations.

- Be allowed to introduce new members.

- Rewarded according to the Association's regulations.

- Receive a membership card.

- Leave the Association when deemed unable to continue being a member.

- Honorary members shall enjoy the same rights and obligations as official members, except the right to vote on Association issues and the right to run for, nominate, and elect the Association's Leadership and Inspection Committee.

3. Obligations of members of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association

Obligations of members of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association are specified in Article 10 of the Charter (amended) of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association issued with Decision 404/QD-BNV in 2023, including:

- Strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; and the Association's Charter and regulations.

- Participate in activities and activities of the Association; unite and cooperate with other members to build a strong and developed Association.

- Protect the reputation of the Association, do not use the name of the Association in transactional relationships unless assigned in writing by the Association's leadership.

- Implement the information and reporting regime according to the Association's regulations.

- Participate in building ethical codes in the Association's activities.

- Pay membership fees in full and on time according to the Association's regulations.

- Perform other obligations when requested by competent authorities.
