Ministry of Finance has authority to dismiss Financial Controllers

This is the new authority of the Ministry of Finance as stated in Decree 87/2017/ND-CP recently issued by the Government of Vietnam on July 26, 2017.

The Ministry of Finance is granted additional authorities starting July 26, 2017, as follows:

- Decision on reappointment, dismissal, resignation of financial controllers at State economic groups, State corporations;- Preparation of the State financial report nationwide, reporting to competent State authorities as per legal regulations;- Formulating mechanisms, policies, and organizing the inspection of centralized procurement in accordance with the law and as assigned by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam;- Managing the utilization of the Insurance Protection Fund;- Organizing inspections and supervising Ministries, People's Committees of provinces and cities regarding the implementation of management policies on the use of capital and assets at State enterprises and enterprises with State capital.

Decree 87/2017/ND-CP replaces Decree 215/2013/ND-CP.
