Formulating Policy for Health Insurance Support for Residents of Revolutionary ATK Communes

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has just issued Directive No. 14/CT-TTg regarding policies supporting safe commune areas (ATK), ATK revolutionary regions during the resistance wars against the French and the Americans.

To elevate the standard of living, both materially and spiritually, in terms of health, education, and culture for residents in ATK communes and revolutionary ATK regions, the Prime Minister requires Ministries, sectors, central agencies, and localities to implement the following specific tasks:

- Research and supplement new policies:

- Develop policies to support health insurance for residents in revolutionary ATK communes (excluding individuals who are already entitled to health insurance policies under current regulations);- Policies to support the preservation and restoration of revolutionary historical sites in ATK communes, ATK regions, and cultural institutions in revolutionary ATK communes.

- Continue implementing the policies of Program 135 for all revolutionary ATK communes (excluding communes that meet new rural standards and communes that have been recognized as no longer eligible for Program 135 investment);- Continue implementing existing policies related to the beneficiaries in ATK communes and revolutionary ATK regions.
