The General Department of Customs has just issued Notification 4769/TB-TCHQ stipulating the customs inspection and supervision fees for exported and imported goods requiring intellectual property rights protection.
To detect goods showing signs of intellectual property rights infringement, the rights holder or the person authorized by the rights holder may submit a request for inspection and supervision of goods.
Before submitting a request for inspection and supervision of exported or imported goods requiring intellectual property rights protection, the applicant must pay the customs inspection and supervision fee for the goods.
The customs inspection and supervision fee is implemented according to the Fee Schedule issued alongside Circular 274/2016/TT-BCT with a specific amount of 200,000 VND per application.
When submitting the application, the applicant must attach a photocopy of the fee payment receipt, confirmed by the applicant. In case the request for inspection and supervision is denied, the paid fee is non-refundable.
