Recently, the Ministry of Health issued Circular No. 02/2019/TT-BYT promulgating the National Technical Regulation on Dust - Permissible Exposure Limits for 05 Dust Factors at the Workplace.
This Standard stipulates the permissible time-weighted average (TWA) exposure limits for asbestos dust, silica dust, non-silica dust, cotton dust, and coal dust at the workplace.
The subjects of application of this Standard include state environmental management agencies; agencies and organizations conducting occupational environment monitoring; organizations and individuals whose activities generate dust in the workplace, and related parties.
Establishments where employees are exposed to dust must periodically monitor and evaluate dust factors at least once a year. Employers must provide full personal protective equipment to employees as per regulations.
