Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam: To reduce priority points for subjects and regions beginning in 2023 (Source: Internet)
On October 7, 2022, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 5138/BGDT-GDDH on reporting on university enrollment; college enrollment in early childhood education in 2022.
The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam expects the direction of enrollment for the Early Childhood Education major in 2023 and the following years to specifically be as follows:
Priority points for objects and areas to be reduced beginning in Vietnam 2023
From 2023, applying the policy of reducing points with priority for subjects and regions for candidates with high admission scores (from 22.5 points or more when converted on a 10-point scale and a total of 3 subjects) to ensure fairness and overcome the situation that there are candidates who achieve the entrance exam score of 30 points but still do not get admission to universities and colleges.
At that time, the policy of prioritizing subjects and regions in the enrollment in 2023 will decrease linearly from the unfair score for the total of three high school exams for admission to universities and colleges as prescribed in Clause 4 Article 8 of the Regulation, specifically:
Priority points for candidates with a total score of 22.5 or higher (when converted to a scale of 10 and a maximum of 30 points in 3 subjects) are determined by the following formula:
[(30-Total points achieved)/7.5] x Priority points specified in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article.
Continue to upgrade the general enrollment support software system of Vietnam
The enrollment in 2023 and the following years will be basically stable like in 2022, and at the same time, strengthen some technical solutions to better support the enrollment of training institutions. and better support candidates in the admission process.
The Ministry of Education and Training continues to direct and implement upgrading and adding other necessary functions of the software; upgrading the system transmission line; and strengthening solutions to check the information candidates enter into the system in order to reduce errors and logical confusion.
Uneffective recruitment methods will be eliminated in Vietnam
Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam directs and guides training institutions to review effective recruitment methods and remove (do not use) methods that are not suitable, ineffective, have insufficient scientific basis, may cause interference with the system as well as difficulties and problems for candidates.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam reviews and considers completing the enrollment process. In which case, it is possible to consider recommending that training institutions do not conduct the admission examination as early as 2022, but all methods of admission are held at the same time as the entrance examination based on the results of the high school graduation exam - 1st enrollment.
