Who Is Exempted from or Eligible for a Discount on Admission Fees to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology?

On October 25, 2016, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 160/2016/TT-BTC stipulating the rates, collection policies, remittance, management, and use of fees for visiting the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

Circular 160/2016/TT-BTC stipulates the following subjects will be exempted from or have reduced fees for visiting the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology:

Exemption from visiting fees for the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology for the following cases:

- Children under 6 years old;- Persons with especially severe disabilities as per Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree 28/2012/ND-CP.

50% reduction in visiting fees for the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology for the following cases:

- Subjects entitled to cultural enjoyment policies as stipulated in Article 2 of Decision 170/2003/QD-TTg. In cases where it is difficult to determine if a subject is entitled to cultural enjoyment policies, a certificate from the commune-level People's Committee where the subject resides will suffice.- Elderly persons as defined in Decree 06/2011/ND-CP.- Persons with severe disabilities as stipulated in Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree 28/2012/ND-CP.
