Vietnam: When must a machine room-less electric lift be inspected?

This content is specified in Circular No. 48/2016/TT-BLĐTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam on National technical regulation on safe work for machine room-less electric lift.

According to Circular No. 48/2016/TT-BLĐTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam, the frequency of periodic inspections of machine room-less electric lifts is as follows:

- At least every 03 years for each periodic inspection of the lifts working under normal operating conditions.

- At least every 02 years for each periodic inspection of the lifts that have been used for more than 10 years or work under corrosive conditions and at a high rate of work.

- The inspection duration may be shortened if the manufacturer or user so requests.

- Every technical occupational safety inspection may shorten the inspection duration but is required to specify the reasons therefor in the lift safety inspection record.
