On June 30, 2016, the Ministry of Health (Hanoi, Vietnam) issued Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT stipulating the National Technical Regulation - High Frequency Electromagnetic - Permissible Exposure Level of High Frequency Electromagnetic Intensity in the Workplace
According to the provisions of Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT, the permissible levels of high frequency electromagnetic intensity in the workplace do not exceed the values specified in the table below:
High-Frequency Electromagnetic Field (1)
Frequency | Electric Field Intensity (E) (V/m) | Magnetic Field Intensity (H) (A/m) | Power Density (P) (W/cm2) | Average Measurement Time (minutes)
3KHz-65KHz | 614 | 24.6 | - (2) | 6
>65KHz-1MHz | 614 | 1.6/f(3) | - (2) | 6
>1MHz-10MHz | 614/f(3) | 1.6/f(3) | - (2) | 6
>10MHz-400MHz | 61 | 0.16 | 10 | 6
>400MHz-300GHz | 61 | 0.16 | 10 | 6 |
Notes:
(1) The values of electric field intensity and magnetic field intensity at the workplace may be obtained from average spatial sampling values over an area with nominal dimensions of 30cm x 30cm.
(2) In these frequency ranges, measuring power density in this unit is inappropriate.
(3) f is the frequency in MHz.
More details can be found in Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT which takes effect in Vietnam from December 01, 2016.
