Vietnam: 05 entitlements of an animal disease-free zone or establishment

This is a featured content specified in Circular No. 14/2016/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development of Vietnam providing for animal disease-free zones and establishments.

Specifically, according to Circular No. 14/2016/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development of Vietnam, an animal disease-free zone or establishment shall have the following entitlements:

- Enjoy rights defined in Clause 2 Article 17, Clause 2 Article 39 and Clause 2 Article 55 of the Law on veterinary medicine of Vietnam.

- Terrestrial animal disease-free zones and establishments are allowed to transport terrestrial animals and terrestrial animal products from infected zones according to regulations of Circular No. 07/2016/TT-BNNPTNT.

- Aquatic animal disease-free zones and establishments are allowed to apply for approval for selling of commercial aquatic animals without preparation or processing when an outbreak declaration is made in such local areas in accordance with regulations of Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BNNPTNT.

- Be eligible to apply for certificates of Vietnamese Good Animal Husbandry Practices (VietGAHP) or Vietnamese Good Aquaculture Practices (VietGAP).

- Get priority in commercial promotion or product promotion programs.
