On December 25, 2014, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 122/2014/ND-CP on the organization and operation of Health Inspection.
Key Aspects of Specialized Inspection in Preventive Medicine (Illustration)
Decree 122/2014/ND-CP stipulates that specialized inspection in preventive medicine includes the following contents:
- Inspecting the compliance with regulations on the preservation and use of vaccines and medical biological products in prevention and treatment;- Inspecting the compliance with regulations on standards and technical regulations for chemicals, insecticides, and disinfectants used in the household and medical fields;- Inspecting compliance with regulations related to the issuance, suspension, and revocation of circulation registration certificates, and compliance with regulations on information and advertising of chemicals, insecticides, and disinfectants used in the household and medical fields;- Inspecting the compliance with regulations on biosafety in laboratories;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on the prevention and control of infectious and social diseases;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on border health quarantine;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on environmental health hygiene, occupational health hygiene, prevention of occupational diseases, school health, community nutrition, drinking water quality, and domestic water quality;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on non-communicable disease prevention activities and compliance with policies for preventive medicine;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on the prevention and control of diseases of unknown origin.
Besides, the Decree also clearly stipulates the contents of specialized inspection in environmental health including:
- Inspecting compliance with regulations on medical waste management and radiation safety;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on environmental protection in burial and cremation activities, and the quality of environmental health;- Inspecting compliance with regulations on environmental protection in medical activities.
