Responsibilities of the Supreme People's Procuracy in Reporting on Criminal Investigation

the Government of Vietnam has just issued Decree 128/2017/ND-CP stipulating policies on reporting criminal investigation cases.

The Supreme People's Procuracy, within the scope of its duties and powers, shall:

- Direct the organization of report construction; update information and be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the information and data.- Construct reports and statistics on criminal investigation according to the provisions of Clause 6, Article 67 of the Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Agencies.- Periodically send reports on criminal investigation to the Government of Vietnam (via the Ministry of Public Security) before the following dates:- January 15: for the 3-month report;- April 15: for the 6-month report;- July 15: for the 9-month report;- October 15: for the annual report.- Assign a unit with the responsibility to preside, cooperate with relevant agencies and units to assist the Chief Prosecutor in performing the aforementioned duties and powers.
