Regulations on the authority to organize sports competitions at vocational schools

According to regulations, the organization of physical activities, sports, cultural and artistic events for students is implemented according to the academic year plan and semester. Regularly organize specialized cultural and artistic activities for students to directly participate in. The organization of physical activities, sports, cultural and artistic events for students should be associated with major national events, historical events, traditions of the school, the locality, and activities as regulated by the industry. Vocational education institutions are encouraged to organize physical, sports, cultural, and artistic competitions for students.

The jurisdiction to organize various levels of physical activities, sports, cultural and artistic competitions in vocational education institutions is specified in detail in Article 7 of Circular 33/2019/TT-LDTBXH as follows:

- Competitions in physical activities, sports, cultural, and artistic events at the institutional level are organized by the vocational education institution within the unit and held annually.

- Competitions in physical activities, sports, cultural, and artistic events at the provincial and municipal level under the Central Government are organized by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs for vocational education institutions in the province or city, held every 02 (two) years.

- Regional and national level competitions in physical activities, sports, cultural, and artistic events are organized by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs every 02 (two) years.

- Other competitions in physical activities, sports, cultural, and artistic events: In addition to the above-mentioned competitions, vocational education institutions or vocational education management agencies can organize non-periodic competitions.
