Regulations on Application Dossier for Preliminary Registration for National High School Exam in Military Schools

The Ministry of National Defense issues Circular 42/2017/TT-BQP amending and supplementing Circular 17/2016/TT-BQP detailing regulations and providing guidance on the admission process into military schools.

According to current regulations, the application dossier for the National High School Graduation Exam (THPTQG) to military schools uses one set of the preliminary university and college registration dossiers issued and distributed by the Military Admissions Committee of the Ministry of National Defense, including:

- 03 preliminary registration forms;- 01 health examination form;- 01 political verification and investigation form;- 01 certificate of priority entitlement for candidates eligible for priority;- 04 portrait photos as prescribed in Point a, Clause 3, Article 20 of Circular 17.

Additionally, the preliminary registration and registration for the first choice selection are guided by Circular 42 as follows:

- Non-military youth candidates purchase dossiers and register for preliminary selection at the district-level Military Admissions Committee;- Active-duty military candidates register for preliminary selection at the regiment level;- Candidates are only allowed to register one first choice to one military school right from the preliminary selection stage; the remaining choices may be registered for non-military schools or the civilian divisions of military schools;- Military schools only consider candidates who register with their first choice.
