Recognition of Preschool Meeting Educational Quality Accreditation

Circular 19/2018/TT-BGDDT was issued on August 22, 2018. The provisions issued along with the Circular specifically stipulate the conditions and levels of recognition for preschools that meet educational quality accreditation standards.

To be specific:, according to Article 34 stipulating the quality accreditation and national standard recognition for preschools issued together with Circular 19/2018/TT-BGDDT, the conditions for recognizing a school for achieving educational quality accreditation include:

- Educational activities for at least 05 years;- Achieving an external evaluation result from Level 1 or higher as prescribed in Clause 1 Article 6 of the Regulation.

The levels of recognition include:

Level 1: Achieving Level 1 as prescribed in Clause 1 Article 6 of the Regulation.

Level 2: Achieving Level 2 as prescribed in Clause 1 Article 6 of the Regulation.

Level 3: Achieving Level 3 as prescribed in Clause 1 Article 6 of the Regulation.

Level 4: Achieving Level 4 as prescribed in Clause 1 Article 6 of the Regulation.

Within 20 working days from the date of receiving the report from the external evaluation team, the Director of the Department of Education and Training shall issue a decision to grant the Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation to the preschool at the level achieved.

The Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation is valid for 05 years.

At least 05 months before the expiration date of the Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation, the preschool must complete the self-evaluation process as prescribed in Article 23 and register for external evaluation as prescribed in Article 26 of the Regulation for re-accreditation. The re-accreditation process shall be carried out as prescribed in Article 34 of the Regulation.

The results of the educational quality accreditation of the preschool will be publicly announced on the website of the Department of Education and Training.
