Procedure for Inspecting Impurities in Shrimp at Facilities

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 07/2018/TT-BNNPTNT stipulating the inspection of impurities in shrimp and shrimp products.

According to Circular 07, the inspection of impurities in shrimp and shrimp products must form an inspection team. The inspection process is as follows:

- Announce the Inspection Decision in cases forming an inspection team: The inspection team announces the Inspection Decision to the representative of the facility when conducting the inspection. In cases where there is information about impurities being used or the evidence is being stored at the facility, the inspection team will immediately conduct on-site inspection and then announce the Inspection Decision;- Inspect to detect impurities in shrimp according to the contents and inspection methods stipulated in Article 8 of Circular 07;- Reporting results: Record the minutes of the work and inform the representative of the facility about the inspection results. In case of detecting violations regarding impurities, the inspection team or the inspector in cases assigned to conduct independent inspections shall make an Administrative Violation Record according to their authority for the violations.
