Possession of Two Pharmacy Practice Certificates Will Be Revoked

The 2016 Law on Pharmacy stipulates strict regulations regarding the issuance of pharmacy practice certificates. However, if violations are detected, the agency issuing the Pharmacy Practice Certificate will issue a decision to revoke the Pharmacy Practice Certificate.

The cases of revocation of the Pharmaceutical Practice Certificate (PPC) include:

- The Pharmaceutical Practice Certificate was granted without proper authority;- The individual granted the PPC requests for revocation of their PPC;- The PPC contains errors due to mistakes made by the issuing authority;- Forging documents in the application dossier requesting the issuance of PPC;- The individual possesses two or more PPCs;- The PPC holder rents, lends, leases, borrows, or allows another person to use their PPC;- The person who has been issued a PPC does not meet one of the conditions for being granted a PPC as stipulated in Article 13 or Clause 2, Article 14 of the Pharmaceutical Law 2016;- The person has been issued a PPC but does not practice within 12 consecutive months;- The pharmaceutical practitioner does not have a certificate of completion of the training program, updating professional pharmaceutical knowledge within 3 years from the date of being issued the PPC or from the date of the latest certificate of completion of the training program, updating professional pharmaceutical knowledge;- Violation of professional ethics in pharmaceutical practice causing death or serious harm to human health;- Has been administratively sanctioned with the form of PPC revocation two or more times for a single violation.

Within 5 (five) working days from the date of receiving the decision to revoke the PPC from the issuing authority, the Ministry of Health and the Departments of Health are responsible for posting the decision to revoke the PPC on the unit's electronic information portal.
