Order and Procedures for Revoking Bank Codes for People's Credit Funds

Circular 17/2015/TT-NHNN stipulates the banking code system used in banking operations and transactions issued by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on October 21, 2015.

The Circular 17/2015/TT-NHNN stipulates that for People's Credit Funds, within 10 working days from the date of the Dissolution, Bankruptcy, or Termination of Operation Decision, the provincial or city branch of the State Bank shall prepare 01 set of documents for canceling the bank code and send it to the Information Technology Department via the network. The dossier includes:

- A written request for canceling the bank code according to Appendix 02;- A copy of the Decision on the dissolution, bankruptcy, or termination of the unit's operation for which the bank code is to be canceled.

Additionally, the Circular also stipulates that for State Treasuries at all levels, within 10 working days from the date of the Termination of Operation Decision, the State Treasury shall prepare 01 set of documents for canceling the bank code and send it to the Information Technology Department via the network. The dossier includes:

- A written request for canceling the bank code according to Appendix 02;- A copy of the Decision on the termination of operation by the competent authority.

Within 03 working days from the date of receipt of the valid dossier, the Information Technology Department shall cancel the bank code and notify the results via the network to the requesting unit. In case of refusal to cancel the bank code, the Information Technology Department shall notify the requesting unit via the network and clearly state the reasons.

When there is no longer a need to receive reports or exchange electronic data with other organizations that have been assigned codes according to Clauses 6 and 8, Article 9 of this Circular, the Information Technology Department shall proactively cancel the bank code and notify the relevant units.
