Intellectual Property Office: Some standards and norms under the regulations in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 158/2010/TT-BTC guiding the financial regime for the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam, which stipulates standards, norms and spending regimes that must comply with State regulations.

Circular 158/2010/TT-BTC stipulates certain criteria and norms that must be complied with by the State in Vietnam , including:

Criteria and standards for the use of automobiles;

Criteria and standards for home workplaces;

Criteria and standards for the provision of official telephones at private residences and mobile phones;

Foreign mission expense regime;

Regime for receiving foreign guests and organizing international workshops and conferences in Vietnam;

Management and use of funds for national target programs;

Regime for using funds for emergency tasks authorized by competent authorities;

Policy regime for streamlining organizational structure (if applicable);

Management and use of counterpart funds for projects, funds for aid from state budget sources;

Management and use of funds for basic construction investment, procurement budgets, and major repairs of fixed assets according to approved projects. Procurement and major repairs of assets and equipment shall be carried out in accordance with the current regulations of the State on bidding.

More details can be found in Circular 158/2010/TT-BTC, which comes into force from November 26, 2010.
