Recently, Circular 43/2013/TT-BGTVT has been issued by the Minister of Transport, stipulating the attire of officials and public employees of the Vietnam Maritime Administration.
According to the provisions of Article 3 c, the attire for officials and public employees of the Vietnam Maritime Administration includes: shirts, blazers, trousers, skirts for women, ties, shoes, belts, and badges (hereinafter referred to as attire). The attire must be of good quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. There are two types of attire: male attire and female attire.

To be specific, the male attire for officials and public employees of the Vietnam Maritime Administration is regulated as follows:
- Short-sleeved shirt: White color, stiff collar, placket, 02 chest pockets with flaps, sleeve length 03 cm above the elbow, shoulder straps, white plastic buttons for the shirt and shoulder straps;- Long-sleeved shirt: White color, stiff collar, placket, 01 button on the cuff, 02 chest pockets with flaps, shoulder straps, white plastic buttons for the shirt and shoulder straps;- Blazer: Dark navy color, lined inside, regular collar, 02 buttons, 02 lower pockets with flaps, rounded lapels, 03 sleeve buttons, single vent at the back, 01 left chest pocket;- Trousers: Dark navy color, full length, straight leg fit, two side pockets, 02 pleats, 01 back pocket with button, concealed button, front zipper, belt loops;- Tie: Silk, blue color, wide end with the logo of the Vietnam Maritime Administration;- Shoes: Leather, black color, closed toe, not too pointed, with or without laces;- Belt: Black color, leather, metal buckle.
The male attire is specified in Appendix I issued together with Circular 43/2013/TT-BGTVT.
