Recently, the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security officially issued Circular 52/2019/TT-BCA stipulating the National technical regulations on Fire fighting and prevention apparatus and equipment for storage, delivery port and distribution stations of gas.

NOTE ****For fire extinguishers (with water, water with additives, and foam) filled with a stable multi-component mixture based on hydrocarbon or fluoropolymer foaming agent, as well as fire extinguishers with internal coating of epoxy or polymer protective layer, or those with stainless steel shells, the inspection of specifications and refilling of extinguishant shall be performed according to the manufacturer's regulations.

At least once every 5 years, fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing propellant gas cylinders must be refilled, the fire extinguisher shells must be thoroughly cleaned inside, and inspected both internally and externally, as well as conducting durability and tightness tests for the fire extinguisher shells, valve locks, nozzles, and pressure-bearing components.
