Guidelines on Packaging and Sealing of Preserved Assets

Accordingly, the packaging and sealing of assets for safekeeping are guided by Circular 02 as follows:

- Customer's assets are packed into bags/boxes accompanied by a handover report and sealed. The seal should clearly state the name of the asset, the quantity of the asset; full name and signature of the person who packed and sealed; the date of sealing. The bags/boxes for asset safekeeping must have the correct identification number as indicated in the contract;- For precious metals and gemstones, the packaging and sealing are carried out according to the regulations on the packaging and sealing of precious metals and gemstones by the State Bank on the classification, packaging, and delivery of precious metals and gemstones;- For cash, foreign currency cash, and valuable papers, the packaging and sealing are conducted following the State Bank's regulations on the packaging and sealing of cash, foreign currency, and valuable papers for the receiving, safekeeping, and transporting of cash, precious assets, and valuable papers;- For other assets, credit institutions shall stipulate the implementation of the packaging and sealing of the assets;- In case of receiving the customer's assets under the method of physical inspection, the packaging and sealing of the assets are carried out by the credit institution. In case of receiving the customer's assets in the form of original sealing, the credit institution shall guide and witness the customer self-pack and seal the assets.
