This is a prominent content regulated in Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT stipulating the national technical regulation on high-frequency electromagnetic fields - Permissible exposure levels of high-frequency electromagnetic fields in the workplace.
According to Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT, the measurement of high-frequency electromagnetic fields at the workplace is carried out as follows:
- Prior to measurement, a survey should be conducted to understand the frequency and power of the transmitter;- Determine measurement locations: transmitter cabinet, waveguide joints, workbench, and walkways;- Measure at heights of 0.5m, 1m, and 1.5m from the floor, and take the average result;- Turn on the machine, direct the antenna to the point of maximum power output and the direction of the highest field intensity. Measure for 6 minutes. Record the displayed results on the field measurement report.
Additionally, the high-frequency electromagnetic field measuring equipment must meet the following requirements:
- Measurement antenna: Use devices with antennas that can capture high-frequency electromagnetic waves;- Measurement range: Minimum
- Electric field strength: 0.1 V/m- 2000 V/m- Magnetic field strength: 0.1 A/m- 30 A/m- Power density: 0.1 µW/cm² - 2000 µW/cm²
- Minimum sensitivity of the device:
- Electric field strength: 0.01 V/m;- Magnetic field strength: 0.01 mA/m;- Power density: 0.01 µW/cm²
