Guidance on Quality Inspection of Firefighting Water Pumps

The inspection of the quality of fire-fighting water pumps is stipulated in Circular 09 as follows:

- Quality inspection upon warehouse entry

- The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department shall inspect according to legal provisions. Specifically: Inspect and issue a Certificate of Inspection of fire prevention and fighting equipment for fire-fighting water pumps entering the national reserve warehouse.- National reserve units shall inspect according to the provisions of Section 3 and Section 4 of this Standard.

- Quality inspection before the warranty expiration period, during storage, and before warehouse release includes:

- Inspection before the warranty expiration period

Three months before the warranty expires, the national reserve unit will conduct an operational inspection; visual inspection of the entire pump and equipment. If the pump or equipment shows any indicator of not meeting quality standards, the national reserve unit will invite the supplier to take a random sample for inspection. If after two inspections, the quality is not met, the national reserve unit will request the organization or individual supplying the fire-fighting water pump to replace it to ensure quality.

- Quality inspection during storage- Quality inspection before warehouse release

- Production, warranty, and storage time of fire-fighting water pumps. Specifically:

- The time from production to entering the national reserve warehouse: Not more than 9 months (including transportation time).- Warranty period: Minimum 36 months from the date of signing the handover minutes for fire-fighting water pumps (pumps and equipment) entering the national reserve warehouse.- Storage time: Not more than 6 years from the date of entering the national reserve warehouse.
