The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment recently issued Circular 31/2018/TT-BTNMT regulating the content and form of water resources reports.

According to Circular 31/2018/TT-BTNMT, the water resource reporting policies are implemented as follows:

a. For national water resource reports and specialized water resource reports: complete the report before July 1 of the year following the reporting period;

b. For water resource usage reports by Ministries, Ministry-level agencies, and Provincial People's Committees: submit to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment before January 30 of the following year;

c. For reports on water resource exploitation and usage activities, and wastewater discharge into water sources: submit to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment or the Water Resource Management Department before January 30 of the following year;

d. The report specified in point b is to be concurrently sent in document form and as a report file to the email box of the Water Resource Management Department; the report specified in point c is to be sent as a report file to the email box of the Water Resource Management Department and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
