Guidance on Documentation for Evaluating Medicinal Plants Complying with GACP

The dossier serving as the basis for evaluating compliance with Vietnam's "Good Agricultural and Collection Practices for Medicinal Plants and Principles, Standards for Exploiting Natural Medicinal Plants" (GACP Vietnam) is guided under Circular 19/2019/TT-BYT, specifically as follows:

- Application for evaluation according to Form 1A, Appendix I of this Circular.- Certified copy from the unit of the Establishment Decision or Business Registration Certificate or Investment License (for cases specified at Point a, Clause 1, Article 8 of this Circular).- Organization and personnel chart of the establishment (clearly stating the main departments of the establishment: full name, title, professional qualifications, and work experience of department heads). In case the establishment consists of many households, the dossier must be accompanied by a list of names, addresses, locations, cultivation area, exploitation area, and purchase contracts between the establishment and the households/representatives of the households.- Map of the cultivation and exploitation area plots, and an explanatory document about the cultivation, exploitation, preliminary processing, processing, and preservation areas.- Plan, contents, and results of GACP training for the establishment's staff in the year the dossier is submitted.- Process of cultivation, exploitation, and processing of medicinal plants researched and built by the establishment or applied scientific research results or documents already published and issued.- Self-assessment results according to the Evaluation Criteria Table specified in Appendix II of this Circular.- Certified copy from the unit of the forestry product list verified by the forest protection agency according to the regulations in Circular 27/2018/TT-BNNPTNT dated November 26, 2018, from the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the management and traceability of forestry products for naturally exploited medicinal plants.
