From 2017, the entrance fee for Ba Vi National Park reaches a maximum of 60,000 VND

According to Circular 206/2016/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance, the entrance fees for Ba Vi National Park are 10,000 VND, 20,000 VND, and 60,000 VND, depending on the visitor category.

The Ministry of Finance has just issued Circular 206/2016/TT-BTC stipulating the collection, payment, and management of the usage fees for visiting Bach Ma, Cuc Phuong, Ba Vi, Tam Dao, Yokdon, and Cat Tien National Parks.

According to the circular, the visitation fee for Bach Ma, Cuc Phuong, Ba Vi, Tam Dao, Yokdon, and Cat Tien National Parks is 60,000 VND/person/visit for adults. For college and university students, vocational school students, and secondary school students, the fee is 20,000 VND/person/visit. For children and primary school students, the fee is 10,000 VND/person/visit.

Exemptions from the visitation fee include: Children under 6 years old; individuals with severe disabilities as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree 28/2012/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam detailing and guiding the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Persons with Disabilities.

The circular also specifies a 50% reduction in visitation fees for the following cases: Beneficiaries of cultural enjoyment policies as specified in Article 2 of Decision 170/2003/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on “Policies of cultural enjoyment preferences"; elderly people as stipulated in Decree 06/2011/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam detailing and guiding the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Elderly People; individuals with severe disabilities as stipulated in Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree 28/2012/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam detailing and guiding the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Persons with Disabilities.

The National Parks (under the General Directorate of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) are the fee collecting organizations. The collecting organizations are allowed to retain 90% of the total collected fees to cover expenses according to Clause 2, Article 5 of Decree 120/2016/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam; 10% of the collected fees must be submitted to the state budget.

Circular 206/2016/TT-BTC takes effect from January 1, 2017.
