Establishment of Ward 7 under the district-level town of Tan An, Long An Province in Vietnam from July 13, 2006

On June 19, 2006, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 60/2006/ND-CP on the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards; establishment of wards under the district-level town of Tan An, Long An province in Vietnam.

Decree 60/2006/ND-CP stipulates the establishment of Ward 7 in the district-level town of Tan An based on the adjustment of 185.09 hectares of natural area and a population of 1,475 from An Vinh Ngai commune; 45.65 hectares of natural area and a population of 343 from Binh Tam commune; and 141.93 hectares of natural area and a population of 2,410 from Ward 3. Consequently, Ward 7 has 372.67 hectares of natural area and a population of 4,228. The administrative boundaries of Ward 7 are: East borders Binh Tam commune; West borders Bao Dinh river - Ward 4; South borders An Vinh Ngai commune; North borders Ward 3 in Vietnam.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- An Vinh Ngai commune has 675.60 hectares of natural area and a population of 4,227 remaining. The administrative boundaries of An Vinh Ngai commune are: East borders Hoa Phu commune, Chau Thanh district; West borders Tan Khanh ward; South borders Trung Hoa commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province; North borders Ward 7.

- Binh Tam commune has 595.64 hectares of natural area and a population of 4,136 remaining. The administrative boundaries of Binh Tam commune are: East borders Hoa Phu commune, Chau Thanh district; West borders Ward 3; South borders Ward 7; North borders Vam Co Tay river - Nhon Thanh Trung commune.

- Ward 3 has 354.47 hectares of natural area and a population of 14,298 remaining. The administrative boundaries of Ward 3 are: East borders Binh Tam commune; West borders Ward 4; South borders Ward 7; North borders Vam Co Tay river, Ward 1, and Ward 5.

Details can be found in Decree 60/2006/ND-CP, which comes into effect in Vietnam from July 13, 2006.
