Circular 11/2018/TT-BVHTTDL was issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on January 31, 2018, detailing regulations on equipment for practicing and performing the Lion Dance.
Accordingly, Circular 11 stipulates the equipment for training and performing the Lion-Dragon Dance, including:
- Dragon head, Dragon body, Lion head, Lion tail, various costumes, and props such as: types of drums, gongs, cymbals, and cymbals must ensure safety and comply with the current Lion-Dragon Dance Competition Law or the traditions of each locality.- Equipment and props used for training, competing, and performing that are rudimentary weapons must be managed and used according to the provisions of the law.- Mai Hoa Thung Setup: The height of the tallest pole must not exceed 03 meters, and there must be protective padding around the Mai Hoa Thung setup.- The climbing Lion pole must be secure, with a maximum height not exceeding 10 meters. Climbing poles from 06 meters upwards must be made of metal. The base system of the pole must be sturdy, equipped with pole guy-wires, protective padding around the pole, and safety ropes to ensure the safety of the practitioners.
