Duties and Powers of the Security Forces of the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of National Defense

- Organize the collection of information, analysis, assessment, forecasting of the situation, and propose policies, solutions, and plans to safeguard the security and safety of the works;- Conduct protection activities within the scope of their functions, tasks, and powers as prescribed by law;- Comply with the legal provisions on the protection of the interests of the State, and the legal rights and interests of organizations and individuals; in case it is necessary to restrict these rights and legitimate interests due to the requirements of work protection, the decision must be made by the authorized person;- Organize and direct prevention, detection, and combat against activities violating the regulations on work protection;- Patrol and guard the works and their protective corridors;- Guide and inspect the protection forces of the agencies and organizations managing the works to carry out their rights, obligations, and responsibilities in safeguarding the security and safety of the works.

Additionally, this Ordinance provides for the powers of the protection forces of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense, specifically:

- Request agencies, organizations, and individuals to provide information, documents, and objects when there is a basis to determine their relevance to the protection activities;- Apply necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of people and works during the survey, design, construction, exploitation, and usage processes;- Utilize other measures as prescribed by law.
