Vietnam Radio is an agency under the Government of Vietnam. It is the national radio station tasked with communicating and propagandizing the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party and the State's policies and laws. It contributes to education, improving public knowledge, and serving the spiritual life of the people through radio programs and other forms of journalism and multimedia communication.
According to Decree 03/2018/ND-CP on regulations regarding the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Radio the Voice of Vietnam, the leadership of Radio the Voice of Vietnam is stipulated as follows:
- Radio the Voice of Vietnam has a Director General and no more than 04 Deputy Directors General.
- The Director General and Deputy Directors General are appointed and dismissed by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam in accordance with the law.
- The Director General is responsible to the Government of Vietnam, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, and the law for the entire operation of Radio the Voice of Vietnam; the Deputy Directors General assist the Director General and are responsible to the Director General and the law for their assigned fields.
- The Director General appoints and dismisses the heads, deputy heads, and defines the functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure, and working relationships of the subordinate units.
