Content and Methods for Inspecting Adulterants in Shrimp

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 07/2018/TT-BNNPTNT stipulating regulations on inspecting impurities in shrimp and shrimp products.

The inspection of impurities in shrimp and shrimp products must be carried out according to the methods and contents specified in Circular 07 as follows:

Content:

- Documents related to business registration activities and certification of food safety conditions.- Management of imported materials and the use of materials for shrimp production and business.- Quantity of products being produced and marketed, technical records.- Records related to the facility's self-control activities.- Inspection of the current status of the production area, raw material warehouse, finished goods warehouse, and other related areas.- Assessment of compliance with regulations on impurity control for raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products of the facility.- Other contents as required by professional duties.

Method:

- Collect documents, evidence, and information according to the inspection content, combined with interviews and verification of the facility's explanatory reports when necessary;- Sampling, on-site sample inspection; sample retention; impurity inspection at the laboratory.
