Circular 49/2017/TT-BYT was issued by the Ministry of Health on December 28, 2017, detailing specific conditions that must be met when conducting telemedicine consultations.
Accordingly, Circular 49 stipulates that medical examination and treatment facilities conducting remote medical consultation must ensure the principles and legal requirements and meet the following requirements:
- Comply with the regulations and procedures on professional consultation of the Ministry of Health.- Ensure at least one connection point has a data recording system. In cases where remote medical consultation includes an examination of patients, the medical examination equipment must be connected to the remote medical system.- The medical examination and treatment facility requesting remote medical consultation must clearly conclude each issue and record it in the Consultation Minutes.
