Change in Priority Regulations for Recruitment of Communal-Level Officials

This is a prominent provision stipulated in Decree 34/2019/ND-CP, which amends and supplements certain regulations concerning commune-level officials and non-specialized personnel at the commune level, in hamlets, and residential groups.

Due to the recruitment examination format for commune-level officials changing to a two-round examination (multiple choice for general knowledge and a written test or interview for the specialized subject), the priority in adding points during recruitment has also changed. To be specific:

- Heroes of the Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, war invalids, individuals receiving policies like war invalids, Category B war invalids: will be added 7.5 points to the second round exam score (the current regulation adds 20 points to the total recruitment or selection score);

- Ethnic minorities, military officers, police officers, professional soldiers, individuals working in cryptographic specializations, children of martyrs, children of war invalids, children of sick soldiers, children of individuals receiving policies like war invalids, children of Category B war invalids, biological children of individuals who participated in resistance activities and were exposed to toxic chemicals, children of Heroes of the Armed Forces, children of Labor Heroes: will be added 5 points to the second round exam score (the current regulation adds 20 points to the total recruitment or selection score);

- Individuals who have completed military service, fixed-term service in the public security forces, members of the youth volunteer force, members of the young intellectual volunteer force participating in rural and mountainous development, non-professional activists at the commune level for 24 months or more having completed their tasks: will be added 2.5 points to the second-round exam score (the current regulation adds 10 points to the total recruitment or selection score).
