Amounts of fees for appraisal of film scripts under current regulations in Vietnam

On November 15, 2016, the Ministry of Finance (Hanoi, Vietnam) issued Circular 289/2016/TT-BTC on amounts, collection, payment, management and use of fees and charges in the cinematography.

According to the regulations in Circular 289/2016/TT-BTC, the amounts of fees for appraisal of film scripts depends on the length of the script are as follows

1	Feature film script (except as prescribed in item 3 of this section):
a	Length up to 100 minutes (1 episode)	4,500,000
b	Length from 101 - 150 minutes calculated as 1.5 episodes
c	Length from 151 - 200 minutes calculated as 02 episodes
2	Short film script, including documentaries, scientific films, and animated films (except as prescribed in item 3 of this section):
a	Length up to 60 minutes	1,800,000
b	Length from 61 minutes and up, charged as a feature film script.
3	Film script made from cooperation activities, providing filmmaking services with foreign countries:
a	Feature film script:
a.1	Length up to 100 minutes (1 episode)	7,200,000
a.2	Length from 101 - 150 minutes calculated as 1.5 episodes
a.3	Length from 151 - 200 minutes calculated as 02 episodes
b	Short film script:
b.1	Length up to 60 minutes	2,800,000
b.2	Length from 61 minutes and up, charged as a feature film script
