Admission Areas for Military Schools According to Current Regulations

On February 27, 2017, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 42/2017/TT-BQP amending and supplementing Circular 17/2016/TT-BQP, which stipulates details and provides guidance on the admission process to military schools.

Circular 42 has amended and supplemented the regulations on the recruitment areas for the Military Schools, specifically the new recruitment areas as follows:

For Infantry Officer School 1 and Infantry Officer School 2

- Infantry Officer School 1: Recruits candidates from Quang Tri province to the North;- Infantry Officer School 2: Recruits candidates from Thua Thien Hue province to the South;- Candidates from Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces: Depending on their wishes, they can register to apply to either Infantry Officer School 1 or Infantry Officer School 2;- Candidates applying to Infantry Officer School 2 must have permanent residence from Quang Tri province to the South. The period for determining continuous permanent residency in the South up to September of the application year must be at least 03 consecutive years. Additionally, they must have at least one year of 12th grade education and take the high school graduation exam in the Southern provinces.

For the remaining schools as specified in Clause 1, Article 9 of Circular 17: Recruits candidates nationwide.
