08 Mandatory Marine Pilotage Areas

Zone 1: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone from Quang Ninh Province to Nam Dinh Province

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh provinces, and Hai Phong city.

Zone 2: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone from Thanh Hoa Province to Quang Tri Province

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri provinces.

Zone 3: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone from Thua Thien Hue Province to Quang Ngai Province

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of Da Nang city, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai provinces.

Zone 4: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone from Binh Dinh Province to Phu Yen Province

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.

Zone 5: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone from Khanh Hoa Province to Ninh Thuan Province

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces.

Zone 6: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone under the jurisdiction of Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, and provinces along the Tien River

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, and provinces along the Tien River.

Zone 7: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone under the jurisdiction of provinces and cities along the Hau River, and Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang, and Ca Mau provinces

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to docks, buoy stations, ports, anchoring areas, transshipment areas, storm shelters, and shipbuilding - repair facilities within the port waters under the jurisdiction of provinces and cities along the Hau River, and Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang, and Ca Mau provinces.

Zone 8: Mandatory maritime pilotage zone in offshore oil and gas exploration areas in Vietnam's seas

From pilot boarding and disembarking areas to oil and gas storage vessel positions at offshore oil and gas ports, oil and gas facilities at oil and gas extraction sites within Vietnam's seas.
