Calculation of Allowances for Communal Officials Who Retired from July 1, 2017

According to Resolution 27/2016/QH14, the statutory pay rate was adjusted to 1.3 million VND/month, which resulted in an increase in pensions, social insurance allowance (BHXH), and preferential allowances for individuals with meritorious services, reflecting the same rate increase effective from July 1, 2017.

As directed by Resolution 27, the Draft Decree on adjusting pensions, social insurance allowances (BHXH), and monthly allowances for retired commune officials proposed a 7.4% increase in pension, social insurance allowance, and monthly allowance.

Following the contents of the aforementioned Draft Decree, the Draft Circular guiding the adjustment of monthly allowance from July 1, 2017, for retired commune officials according to Decision 130-CP dated June 20, 1975, and Decision 111-HDBT dated October 13, 1981, prescribes as follows:

The monthly allowance from July 1, 2017, shall be adjusted according to the following formula:

Wherein, the allowance as of June 2017 is stipulated in Clause 2 and Item b, Clause 3, Article 3, of Decree 55/2016/ND-CP;

- For officials who were former Communist Party Secretaries or Chairmen of Commune People's Committees:

Allowance = (1,568,000 + 150,000) VND/month x 1.074 = 1,845,000 VND/month

- For officials who were Deputy Secretaries, Vice Chairmen, Standing members of Communist Party Committees, Secretaries of Commune People's Committees, Secretaries of People's Councils, Commune Militia Commanders, or Heads of Commune Police:

Allowance = (1,512,000 + 150,000) VND/month x 1.074 = 1,785,000 VND/month

- For other positions:

Allowance = (1,388,000 + 150,000) VND/month x 1.074 = 1,652,000 VND/month
